Welcome to The Write Contest Community WIP Notes

This is a place where you can share your Work In Progress, your story (in any stage of development), or your finished contest submissions with the group and get comments, reactions, and feedback. You can Post and Search within the specific contest categories to connect with others working on similar pieces.

Please interact and freely share feedback and constructive notes with each other. Remember, it is hard to share your work and it is scary to be brave and vulnerable enough to put your stuff out there. Not everyone is in the same place in their writing process and craft development. If you are more advanced, try to remember what it was like when you didn’t know what you didn’t know…and if you are just starting out, breathe and remember we get better together. Writing is so often solitary and yet words are written and given life in the world to be read.

Enjoy TWCC and BE KIND…Always.

When posting work with the group make sure you select a contest category at the BOTTOM of the post and PLEASE share what type (if any) of feedback you would like (General impression, pace, story content, voice, structure etc. etc.) at the TOP of your post. Remember that whatever comments you receive, they are just one opinion. You always need to come back to yourself and your work and ask, ‘Does this resonate with me?’ If it doesn’t…Cool. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with me. If it does…Cool. Thank you for sharing your feedback with me. It is always a gift to receive feedback. Someone took time out of their life to read AND comment on your work. You officially have a reader *grin* (You’re one reader closer to that Best Seller you always dreamed of! 😀)

Write On!
