Contests are determined by select judges appointed to each challenge. Our judge pool can be viewed on the Judges page. Not all judges will read every submission. Submissions will be distributed in groups to judges for review and finalists from each cohort will be forwarded into the next round.

The Write Contest reserves the right to change or cancel contests, alter submission dates, and/or extend contest deadlines for any reason. If these unexpected changes occur participants will be notified via e-mail.

You can Review our judging criteria and helpful hints page for more details on the judging parameters.

THE JUDGES’ DECISIONS ARE FINAL.

There are no refunds for any reason. If you are unable to participate in the contest due to an extenuating circumstance, administrators can submit a voucher for entry into a future contest.

Make sure you mark deadlines on your calendar and keep in touch with any concerns. Missing submission deadlines for any reason does not constitute an extenuating circumstance.

Remember that you are contributing to a community that supports your well-being and wants you to succeed. Reach out with any questions and have fun challenging yourself with The Write Contests.

Prizes are guaranteed for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for every active contest. Some contest will have more winners and special categories. See the prize page and individual contests for prize details and distribution.
